Garrett Bettersworth is a multi-talented actor, voice artist, and educator born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas. From a young age, Garrett was captivated by storytelling and performance. That passion led him to community theatre, where at age 12, he landed his first lead role as the Genie in a junior production of Aladdin. From there, his love for performance only deepened.

Garrett’s artistic journey has taken him from the Texas stage to Los Angeles, where he earned his BFA in Acting for Film and Television from Hussian College. He is a graduate of the Northeast School of the Arts (Class of 2018) and has since worked across a variety of mediums including film, theater, and animation. In 2019, he starred in The Children’s Crusade, a short film exploring the emotional toll of war. In 2020, he voiced Tim in The Glove, a web comic series. Most recently, he played Dennis in NBPA’s production of Rock of Ages and was featured in the English dub of Romantic Killer on Netflix.

As a voice-over director, Garrett has led performance direction for a range of interactive and narrative-driven projects. He has directed voice talent for the video games Barheim and Stuck in the Present, as well as multiple audiobooks in partnership with Dusk Wave Arts. His direction focuses on drawing out emotionally resonant and grounded performances that elevate storytelling across genres.

Outside of performing, Garrett is a dedicated acting coach and mentor. Passionate about passing on what he’s learned, he aims to inspire the next generation of performers to approach acting as a living, evolving art. He is also a founding member of the New Braunfels Performing Arts Center, a nonprofit theater company he co-established with his mother, Sherry Bettersworth, to bring high-quality productions and educational opportunities to the local community.

Garrett often returns home to support NBPA’s productions and help nurture young talent. For Garrett, storytelling is a gift—and delivering it to an audience remains one of the most meaningful experiences of his life.
